Sustainability Week: How are ABI and MECATHERM North America raising employee awareness about sustainability culture?

ABI and MECATHERM North America recently held the first edition of their "Sustainability Week" located in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada.

The aim of this event was to raise awareness among all employees about sustainability through three days highlighting key thematics such as safety and well-being at work, and waste management.

A rich and varied program

Throughout these themed days, employees were able to take part in booths, quizzes, and talks centered around these three topics:

· Workplace safety

The booth provided on‑site consultations conducted by a certified chiropractor to identify injuries and pain points. Employees also received hands‑on treatments to reduce tension and improve mobility, along with personalized exercise tips to address posture issues and physical discomfort.

· Health well-being

The booth hosted sessions combining breathwork, gentle movement, somatic exercises, and guided meditation. Participants discovered practical and accessible tools designed to be easily integrated throughout the workday to support well‑being, focus, and recovery.

· Waste management

The booth offered workshops focusing on waste management. It also gave employees the opportunity to ask questions while improving their daily waste management practices.
