World Climate Day: ABI committed to a more sustainable future

World Climate Day invites us to think about the increasing environmental challenges impacting our planet. As a key player in the industrial sector, ABI is aware of its environmental responsibilities. This awareness shapes its approach to innovation and drives its commitment to sustainable development.

ABI’s example actions for a more sustainable future

As part of its commitment to sustainability, ABI is developing actions to reduce its environmental impact and help its customers meet the challenges of climate change.

  • With solutions such as the EYE-Q quality control system, ABI helps bakers minimize waste and optimize performance across their production lines. This AI-powered solution precisely evaluates product quality at various production stages, tailored to meet the demands of the bakery & food manufacturing industry. By being fully automatic, EYE-Q guarantees the analysis of every product at all times, achieving a consistent 100% coverage in quality control while offering versatility and applicability across a wide range of products and carriers.

  • Environmental commitment is also present among ABI employees mindset and culture. For example, every year on Earth Day, ABI employees carry out a community clean-up, collecting all the waste they find around their Richmond Hill offices.

  • ABI is working to strengthen responsible purchasing practices by building a supply chain that is compliant, safe, and environmentally conscious. In this way, all ABI partners are required to sign a Responsible Purchasing Charter.

“We are continually improving our global approach by integrating our entire value chain from suppliers to customers at the heart of our strategy. On the environmental side, we will implement actions to reduce our CO2e emissions on the 3 scopes.”
