We’re the future of baking automation - and we’re growing! We’re currently looking for a Vice President, Sales to join our team.
About the opportunity
Reporting to the President, you will be accomplishing the following:
Contribute to the development and execution of the annual sales plan
Develop and lead programs to drive achievement of sales and other company targets, including annual growth objectives
Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting and reporting
Lead, develop and mentor Regional Sales Managers, Sales Engineers and Sales Administration
Manage sales resources, infrastructure and systems to contribute towards profitable growth of the team
Document and enforce sales policies and procedures and best practices across the team
Consistently monitor and evaluate the team operations in search of methods/tools to optimize the effectiveness
Establish and maintain a performance management / coaching culture by developing and managing to established KPIs
Engage directly and indirectly in the selling process as required by assisting with complex sales negotiations, attending sales presentations and closing sales deals
Work with the Marketing team to support the launch of new products/services, sales promotions and opportunities for targeted marketing initiatives
Establish and maintain a strong personal/professional network on behalf of ABI promoting its brand, its product and its services, participating in speaking opportunities that contribute to this goal
Maintain a strong working knowledge of the competitive landscape to ensure that the organization is well positioned to compete
Travel for in-person meeting with teams, customers and industry contacts to develop key relationships
Identify continuous improvement opportunities
Additional duties as required
Who we are looking for:
Post-secondary University education in Business, Finance or related discipline
Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent would be an asset
5-10 years of Sales Management experience in a business-to-business sales environment within the food, baking or pharmaceutical industry
Minimum 5 years of previous leadership and people management experience at a senior level with success in leading, recruiting, hiring, training, managing and motivating employees
Demonstrated ability to achieve results and exceed targets
Experience in creating strategy and driving growth in the sales of products and/or services
Ability to plan and execute at both the strategic and operational levels
Excels at data analysis and forming and presenting recommendations based on quantitative information
Ability to integrate marketing, financial, and operational disciplines to maximize business performance
Well-versed in using sales and marketing technologies and software
Strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal, people management and leadership skills
Ability to work collaboratively to create a team-oriented environment
Strong diplomatic negotiation skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Availability for travel
